How We Work
We want to meet your deadlines and achieve the results you expect when you outsource your marketing communications writing projects to us.
We’ve developed a methodology to help ensure successful collaborations. This methodology includes a series of
steps and deliverables that keep us on the same page
throughout the project:
1. Creative Brief. We begin each project by carefully interviewing the content owner about the key factors that determine your project’s success. We then summarize this discussion into a creative brief for you to review and approve. In this way, we make sure we all agree on the messages, objectives, deliverables, and time lines.
2. Data collection. Once you review and approve the creative brief, we will review any related materials you may have (pile them on, the more the better), as well as perform additional research and interviews where necessary.
3. Outline. We then compile our research findings into an outline. This details the components of the piece and the order they will appear.
4. First draft. After you review and approve the outline, we will create the first draft.
5. Final draft. We will incorporate your changes into a second and final draft.
How We Charge
Each project is different. Therefore, we quote each project individually. For most assignments, we charge a fixed fee based on our hourly or per-word rate. This fee will include the interview, creative brief, research, outline, and two drafts. All revisions beyond the second draft will be charged at our hourly rate.
If the client changes the direction of the project after approving the outline, we reserve the right to renegotiate the fee for the project.
We require 50% of the quoted charge upon your agreement to move forward with the project. The remainder will be due upon completion of the second draft.
